A BRAND NEW YEAR
2013 is starting out great! Paws2Help Foundation
is excited about the fun events planned with new partners helping
animals within the Community.
Providing medical care to homeless animals is our first priority. In addition to new, fun events we will also participate in the Annual Dog Wash at Altitude Veterinary Hospital and the Annual Garage Sale/ Benefit Auction. All events and donations bring awareness to the plight of the homeless and frequently injured stray and allow us to continue to provide financial assistance to them in Casper, Wyoming.
You don't need to wait until an
event to donate, check out our link to make your donation three
ways: PayPal, at Altitude Veterinary Hospital or by mail. We are
also working with QR codes and Chip In style donation requests for
each of our sponsored or fostered pets to help with expenses until
they are adopted. Remember you donation is always tax deductible
and you will receive a receipt stating the amount of donation for
your tax records.
We are thrilled to report that all the cats (Goldee, Kilmouski, Tink, and Pandora) and dogs (George and Red) fostered spent the holidays in the home of families loving and caring for them. Santa Claws even dropped a few stuffed stockings of goodies for the good little pups and kittehs!
Throughout the year we saw
sponsored cats and dogs find homes and we think of them often. A
tear is often shed when we say goodbye as adopters leave with furry
friends but it is a tear of joy as well. We saw Fluffy, Mac and
Peppermint Patty find their furrever homes right at the end of
2012. Fluffy now lives in Sheridan, Mac zoomed along to Montana,
and Patty found a home right here in Casper!
We wish our furry friends and
their families all the best in 2013. You can
Paws2Help Foundation is pleased to announce that we've joined Petfinder.com, a valuable pet-finding tool for homeless pets. We have several dogs and cats in foster waiting for their furrever homes. We also have pit bulls types listed as part of our efforts for Paws2Help4Pits in Casper, Wyoming.
We are working to partner with area agencies and volunteers to finally bring nutrition to the pets of the clients of Natrona County Meals on Wheels and Wyoming Food Bank of the Rockies. In doing so, we are obtaining funding through private donations of nutritious food and through grants. This will be the launching program that will assist other animal welfare organizations and senior or community services in each county in the State of Wyoming.
We are planning our first
volunteer orientation for the year. There are always plenty of
opportunities at Paws2Help Foundation (including our affiliates:
Paws2Help4Pits, Pet Pantry Outreach, and Trap-Neuter-Release
Wyoming) such as social media, newsletter editing, transportation,
promotions, volunteer coordination, booth work, event coordination
and planning, and so much more! Please contact us if you are
interested in getting your T-shirt that says you are a Paws2Help
Volunteer!
